Coronavirus Payment Holiday Request

About You

About your mortgage

You should only submit this request when all parties to the mortgage have agreed to the request

About your request

We can offer a 3 month payment holiday. If your circumstances are temporary and you consider that a 1 or 2 month payment holiday would be more appropriate for you, please select accordingly.

Please note, due to a high volume of requests it may take us longer than usual to process your request, however we will do our best to ensure your holiday starts in line with your request. We will write to you to confirm when the payment holiday is in place. If a payment has already been made, your payment holiday will start from the following month.

If your monthly payment is due in the next seven working days, your payment holiday will start from the following month.

If you pay by Direct Debit you do not need to do anything, once the payment holiday is processed, the payment will not be collected.

If you pay by another method please arrange to cancel this in line with the date you would like the payment holiday to start. Remember you will need to set this back up after the payment holiday.

Once your payment holiday request is processed, we will write to you to confirm these details within the next 2 weeks. Towards the end of the payment holiday, we will write and confirm your new monthly payment ahead of your next payment. We will also provide you with the opportunity to discuss alternative repayment arrangements with us.

We are currently dealing with a higher number of calls from customers than normal. So that we can support those in the most vulnerable situations please only call if your enquiry is urgent.

I confirm and I understand:

  1. My payment holiday request is because I am experiencing payment difficulties in the current exceptional circumstances arising from Coronavirus (COVID-19).
  2. My mortgage payments are currently fully up-to-date.
If you do have existing financial difficulties, or your mortgage is currently in arrears, please do not use this form to make a request. Whilst we can still consider offering you a payment holiday, we need to talk with you about this and the other ways we can help you. Please read our “Support with Financial Difficulties” guide and give our dedicated support a team a call on 0344 892 0155 to discuss how we can assist you.
  3. I understand that requesting a “payment holiday” means the sum I would normally pay for my mortgage each month stops for an agreed temporary period of time but these sums remain due to be paid at the end of the “payment holiday” and interest will still be charged on the sums due.
  4. As a result of this, I or anyone else named on the mortgage is aware that the monthly payments will go up after the “payment holiday” has ended.
  5. If I have a Buy to Let Mortgage, I am requesting the payment holiday because my tenant(s) are experiencing financial difficulties due to coronavirus. I will pass on the relief to my tenants in line with the requirements stated by the UK Government in the following website.
  6. I or anyone else named on the mortgage is aware of the need to review any insurance policies which are calculated on the mortgage balance.
  7. If I pay by Direct Debit, I understand that you will automatically suspend my Direct Debit and re instate it when my payment holiday comes to an end. I understand that once the agreed payment holiday ends, my contractual payment will be recalculated on the increased balance. I consent to Vida Homeloans increasing my monthly Direct Debit to collect the outstanding sums due over the remaining term of the mortgage which will mean that I will pay more interest for my mortgage over the term.
  8. If I pay by Standing Order, I will adjust the amount and next payment date of the standing order based on the revised payment amount and payment date which you will advise me of in writing.
  9. If, after the end of the payment holiday, I would like to make the deferred payments over a shorter period, I will contact Vida Homeloans then to discuss.
